I first met Peter in the early 1990s when I was about to marry his wife Sue's younger brother, Ardell. I was struck at Peter's kindness, zest for life and family (he was always bursting with love for Sue and Andrea), his ease of manor with anyone and his humour. We had such fun in the home-made bar (in the garage!) - it was quite an introduction. Peter, Sue and Andrea then became a huge part of our lives and the lives of our 3 daughters. He became a very treasured Uncle. He always signed off cards to them 'i love my nieces to pieces' and was generous with his time and energy. Peter was a great cook (but often banished to cook in the shed as Sue couldn't bear the of his pickled onions cooking!). They were legendary and subject to a secret recipe. I was very partial to his Bakewell tart too. Thank you for the life you shared with us Peter. You were one of life's good 'uns and I feel lucky to have had you in mine x
